Post 2: Top 5 Best Romantic Comedies

1. Juno (2007)

When I first heard about this movie I was afraid it was going to be another Lifetime movie special. Boy was I wrong! This movie has the perfect balance of humour and drama. It's not overly dramatic and the comedic relief is always on cue. The most emotional part in the movie for me was when Juno and Bleeker are lying in the hospital bed and Juno is crying. It pretty much wrapped up the whole purpose of the movie. Excellent.

2. The Family Man (2000)

I love this movie. I'm not usually a big fan of Nicholas Cage's movie choices but this movie was great. The chemistry between Tea Leoni and Cage is incredible, it's like they were actually married. They have an adorable marraige and adorable kids. I was actually jealous of their life after watching that movie.

3. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)

I love Kate Hudson. I think she's adorable, smart and funny. I think Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are adorable together on screen (I secretly wanted them to get together in real life). I also loved watching Hudson turn into a psycho. It was painfully hilarious. And while this movie is highly unrealistic (as are 99% of all chick-flicks) it is still fun to watch.

4. My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

Who doesn't have a crazy family? Seriously! Now most of us probably don't have a family that is that extreme and crazy we still have those nagging parents who want us to get married and make babies and that crazy, delirious grandmother who secretly (or not so secretly) wants to kill you and the uninhibited aunt that tells embarassing stories at the worst times (the "lump = my twin" story is the best scene in the movie). Great movie.

5. Fools Gold (2008)

Hudson and McConaughey team up again for another great romantic comedy. I loved this movie so much because of the relationship they have. They hate each other so much and she's so mean to him but deep down inside she really loves him. Plus it has historical stuff in it too (I love history). The best of both worlds I think.
